When your office is your home things are not always as great as they seem.. I am lucky to work from my home in a city like Mumbai! Its really hard in this city to commute to work and get back home. But the cons are you are tempted to take too many breaks between your working day. I work in Sales and in a niche industry, I have to search for my business and hence at time I find myself totally struck and staring at walls not knowing where to go on from there. The pros for the company are my whole day is spent working actually, my replies to emails are often withing nanaoseconds..just a while ago I replied to an email and followed it up with a call..they guy at the other end was quite psst off that I was sort of bombarding him with more work. Indinas usually take days to get anything done, my employer being an European team doesn't understand this and somehow I have been trained to work in their manner. Indians are innovative in their business tricks and there is huge potential for business grads to learn from the way business is done here..not necessarily efficienly but most definitely innovatively. I am still trying to figure out how to go about things in India though :)
